| Designs For Motoring - Care and Feeding Guide
Our magnetic badges are designed to last many years with proper care and feeding.
Following these guidelines should help:
Magnetic Badge Cleaning: The magnetic badge should be periodically cleaned with a soft cotton towel and warm water. If evidence of heavy motoring residue (e.g. dirt) is present upon the badge a mild detergent (car wash soap for instance) can be used to clean the badge. Do not use abrasive cleaners or utensils to clean the badge as this may inadvertently remove the ink from the vinyl surface.
Badge Application and Removal: The Designs for Motoring Magnetic Badges are designed for use with a Mini Magentic Badge Holder. To apply simply place the magnetic badge to the metal badge holder surface. While the badge can be applied to other metallic surfaces (such as your Mini's boot or a refrigerator door) care should be taken during application and removal. Make sure the intended application surface is clean and clear of debris/dirt. Failure to do so may result in unintended damage to the surface by a Magnetic Badge**. Additionally, care should be taken when removing the badge from any surface. Make sure to firmly grasp the entire magnetic badge when removing. Picking at the edge of the magentic badge to remove it can cause unintended damage to the badge and possibly damage the application surface . Please be gentle.
Badge Feeding: A single magentic badge attached to your Mini does not need to be fed, as it receives ample nourishment from your daily motoring. However, Magnetic Badges placed in storage or say on a refrigerator door are a different story. It is highly recommended that your Magnetic Badges are swapped out as often as possible. Doing this allows your Magentic Badges to be adequately fed thus ensuring a long, happy life. This is especially true if you have a large Magnetic Badge collection. In such scenarios Magentic Badge uprisings have been reported. In one documented case, the lesser used Magnetic Badges usurped the often used Magnetic Badges and cast them off the metallic island thereby ensuring more motoring for themselves. It should be noted that there are undocumented reports of a giant hand placing the cast-offs back on the metallic island only to later have the uprising scenario repeat itself. Please keep in mind this is still unconfirmed.
** Designs For Motoring is not responsible for damage caused by improper application or removal of any product we sell. Please follow the guidelines.
